Scorned

I was invited by a friend of mine to check out the company
and she wanted us to work together in the "business."
I came home really pumped from the meeting, and got my husbands
permission to start a business. He wanted me to be happy,
and it was the happiest he had seen me in a long while.
I was pressured to buy an inventory and I took out a $2200
loan to pay for my $1800 inventory. It was the last I ever
saw of my Director. She totally bailed on my debut, where
I had people waiting outside of the little office that the
area reps used for their debuts. She didn't even bother to
contact me. She would not return my calls, and it was absolutely
awful.
So, I wrote HQ and was assigned a new Director (which was
my Director's Director), and she was out of Texas. She was
nice, and the distance made me feel better. By this time I
was burned and discouraged, and just wanted to unload my inventory.
Outdoor markets are very popular where I lived, and I did
a few just to get names and offer drawings. I was told that
this type of activity was "OK" by the directors
in the troop I was in. Lo and behold, I get a letter from
the legal department telling me that an "Outdoor Market"
is not the type of clientele that they want and to quit going
there immediately. I wrote them a lengthy letter laying it
all out on the line because they demanded a response to me.
I quit everything at that point and just wanted to unload
my inventory. I did that through eBay on a Lot sale and have
never looked back.
