Rine’s Story

I have been in the process of sitting out for a year to get away from my Director. I had the greatest of intentions of joining with another Director that is doing it right and telling the truth. But I have noticed things that are causing me to re-think that decision too.

I have been supposedly "in" the business for over 10 years.

Most of the "out" time was my choice, like during the childbearing years and then at times when I was just in a funk about all the craziness that comes with MK.

My Director has built her business by placing everyone's order on her credit card and making you perpetually in debited to her for ever and ever. This has been at the expense of me and my dignity and anyone I ever recruited. You know she will say you can use the card and order and you have some time to pay it back, then as soon as the order is placed she calls and starts her collection procedure!

She bugs you and if you have recruits she bugs you and them! I have had many talks with her telling her not to offer her credit card as well as my recruits advising them not to use it! But she begs, "Oh please, we are in car qualification" (We never even really know if that is true because Director's are afraid to tell you when they are in a qualification period because they think you may stop ordering or try to jinx them somehow?)

Hello - what happened to trust and the golden rule?

Whenever they would not pay she would get on my case and constantly try to use me as a bill collector. She is lazy and does not want to raise a hand to do any of the necessary book sell and recruit methods she is always drilling us on. She hardly ever recruits or does classes but she has the nerve to make comments like, "I can't win a Cadillac if you all don't work" or "Do you really think I am existing on what you and your team do?"

She is racist on top of all of that and constantly politically incorrect. She is the ultimate example of Miss No Give versus Miss Go Give. She is gossipy and complains about the other unit members and what they won't do.

Sometimes I wish people could eavesdrop in her conversations and hear what she really thinks of them and other Director's in MK too. She is horrible and is still stuck back 20 years ago when she really was in her MK prime. She needs and EXTREME MAKEOVER ASAP!, I mean for her personal looks and maintenance and for her thinking and attitude. I just became fed up when she always welcomed my orders and new recruits and did nothing to train, motivate and live the MK example whatever that is?

I was constantly being sabotaged by her whenever I tried to move up...she would have one of my top recruits step out and submit DIQ during my DIQ so she could have all the money and commissions for herself.

Try borrowing $20 from your Director and see if she does not turn it around back on you by saying, "Honey you need to go hold a class" Most Director's would not even speak to you anymore if you were not in MK. Try it and see.

If you are not lacing their commission check with your production the hell with you and try and see if they will return a call to you. They drop you so quick!

Thus the phrase "no means next." Why do you think they invent these little brainwashed catch phrases like "just work with the ones that are working"?

If you are sick you better have some kind of savings to tide you over because to the Director there is no such thing as a sick day! You may as well stay in corporate because these women treat you the same way as being under the worst nightmare of a supervisor at a J.O.B

I often wondered why do the same women that walk up to women with a compliment in exchange for a phone number, treat you like a peon when you sign the agreement? They are rude to you at functions like Career Conference and Seminar. They don't speak they don't smile they are sooo rude when you ask them a question. (This is not all but a majority that I have encountered) It's all phony, just to get your money! That's why they withhold information from you that is so vital for you to have in the beginning. They lie thru their teeth about inventory, about the career path, about everything.

Then they manage to twist it around like its your fault because you should have read the agreement with your lawyer or consulted your tax person. They failed to mention all of that as they were rushing the pen in your hand because you needed to sign up right now so you don’t miss some fake bonuses that you actually end up paying for.

The car program is a hoax...you spend minimum 18,000 -in 2-4 months on a car you would not even purchase because you don't like it. You find out that if you don't keep selling 4,000 every month they come and pick up the over priced vehicle and you are back on the bus! That level car was not even the Cadillac, which it should be for the price...it would be that if you went down to the dealership and you would still have it in your driveway today!

This is the most expensive own your own business that I never really owned!

So now I am at this crossroads and I really like all the friends I have made and I still have about 50 clients that have become my friends and I am really involved in their lives so I don't want to leave them hanging.

I also don't want to get caught up in another mess for another 10 years just getting the bare minimum and working like a dog to get that.

My prospective Director I find is great in this business, she does her own work, does not depend on her unit to get what she wants....but there is one thing that's got me and that is she only talks about MK and herself...that drives me crazy....There is so much more to life as we all know. Look what just happened in New Orleans!!!! When you try to take the conversation in a different direction she goes right back to the pink world stuff and I am bored to tears with it. It is really turning me off because most of the MK people especially Directors are so narrow minded and unfocused on others that it amazes me how they have time to recruit.

I know one thing I still have some time to make my decision and I am really considering leaving the game behind and starting my own thing and pursuing other interest and talents I have. I would not be happy with MK the way it is right now. I just see me being very broke if I come back and start to order and recruit women that really are not going to do this business.

I came here out of curiosity but I realized I have a lot of MK vent inside of me. It is comforting to be able to release my feelings and talk my way thru some things here.
