Doing MK With Integrity

Hi fellow MK "girlfriends".

I wish I had found this site a long time ago.

My story is devastating just like all the others. Sometimes I feel so stupid for allowing myself to be manipulated by my "friend". Anyway, I have come to terms with it and moved on.

However, I want to share my story so not one more person is misled.

PLEASE...take what I say to heart and don't take it as negative...It is the truth and the truth will set you free. I am not going to bore you with every horrible detail...what I will tell you is the things you need to LOOK out for.

Here they are:

#1. How well do you know the person recruiting you? Don't believe everything they say because you are "friends". Not all friends are true ones. Once I confronted my "friend" about cheating and how I could no longer support her in MK she dropped me as a friend!

#2. How well do you know the director? Point blank ask her if she has ever paid for a "consultant" to be activated. Find out how she made it through "DIQ". Did she have to cheat to make it? Trust me...you need to know this. Integrity is everything in this kind of business. Do you want your hard earned money to benefit a cheater...I don't. My director cheated to make it where she is and never mentions it in her speeches about how she got where she is!

#3. If you have a family member in MK and you are close to them you should recruit under them whether they ask you or not. If someone else asks you to join and they know you have a family member in MK and they don't encourage you to sign up with them they are not the kind of person you want to be affiliated with. Everything you do in MK will benefit your recruiter and Director. Why would you not want to benefit your family?

If you really want to join under someone else...then at least call your MK family member and tell them so they are not hurt by your decision. My "friend" and her director recruited me in spite of the fact that my mother-in-law was a consultant and they knew and did not encourage me to join w/her. On June 1st I am re-signing under my mother-in-law! Please just keep these three things in mind and you will be okay in Mary Kay!! P.S. You do not need to be STAR or order a large inventory every quarter...just have fun at skin care classes and pass out the book...if people want to order they will and they don't mind waiting for it!
