Thank you so much for this website! I really
like Mary Kay products, so I was seriously considering becoming
a consultant. I spoke with a consultant to ask what it's like,
and what is required. It seemed too good to be true! Making
thousands of dollars, working a few hours a week??? Getting
"love checks" if I sign on someone else?? Sign me
up!! That's when I started second guessing - if it seems too
good to be true, it probably is. I began to search the internet
and I came across this website, and it all started to make
sense.
Before, I had these ideas of advertising my "own"
mary kay business across my college campus (I'm a graduate
student, so only a few hours a week to make more money was
really appealing!). But turns out that is against their policy
to post ads. I thought I would even set up a table on campus
one day a week with some inventory.. turns out I cant do that
either. And ebay seems like a good idea! Nope, they dont like
that either. I heard they will fire you for that one. Ugh.
And I dont want to be hassled to go to meetings, and I dont
want to be lured into thinking every woman was a potential
money-maker. I dont want to make small talk strangers to take
money out of their wallets. I just cant do that. I've decided
not to sell MK, obviously.
Thanks again for elucidating many of the fine points of MK
on this site! I think I would have made a mistake if I hadn't
found this. I still love their cosmetics... Ebay certainly
has a big selection. |
