Aussie Christine’s
Story |
I am writing from Australia and have been a Consultant with
MK for about 15 months. I am sure I am not the first to write
to you to suggest you provide a little balance on your website.
I sympathize with the people telling their stories to you
and agree that not everyone involved in MK is an honest and
upstanding member of our community.
I am very happy to say that my Director has been with MK
for 11 years and is like my best friend. I have not once been
pushed to place inventory orders, in actually fact my Director
suggests I borrow from her inventory if I need the products
straight away. I know many other directors that follow the
same principle.
If you read the marketing plan and company information you
will not see it written anywhere that you 'MUST purchase inventory,
MUST recruit, MUST warm chat, MUST work like a slave, MUST
invest all your money, MUST be on stage at seminar'. The company
tells you what they offer and YOU decide if you want it and
how badly. Your Director does not decide, your husband does
not decide, your customers do not decide - only YOU decide
how much you are prepared to do to reach for what the company
offers.
As an INDEPENDENT Beauty Consultant we chose how we approach
our business. The guidelines are there and have been for over
40 years. You will find that the vast majority of ladies that
are successful consultants are operating the business that
way that Mary Kay Ash taught and are living their lives God
first, family second, career third.
My suggestion to many of the past consultants that have included
their stories here is that they have a look at why they joined
MK in the first place, what was the situation they were in
to start with and did they listen to the advice Mary Kay Ash
gave all those years ago? Personal motivation plays a very
large part in your decisions - if you are selfish in your
goals you will just end up a selfish old person and have been
taught the lesson the hard way.
I will be waiting with interest to see your response to my
email. I am presuming that you do realize that not everything
about MK is bad and that you will do me the courtesy of a
reply.
Regards,
