 
The following can be returned:
- All Section 1 Products
- Limited Edition Section 1 Products
- Discontinued Products
Once the call is made and Consultant
receives her form, (usually within a few days – directors
are SUPPOSED to provide it to you if you ask) she/he may then
return the completed form, along with her eligible Section
1, discontinued and limited edition unopened (boxes do not
matter) Company products, freight prepaid, to Repurchase Department,
Mary Kay Inc. at the address noted on the form and the following
will apply:
CONSULTANT WANTS TO TERMINATE WITHIN 30 DAYS
of Agreement being Accepted by the company
The Company will accept a Consultant’s
cancellation of the Independent Beauty Consultant Agreement
within thirty (30) days after acceptance of the Agreement
by the Company, and upon the return of the Consultant’s
original and unused Starter Kit to the Company, the Company
will refund to Consultant the Consultant’s cost of the
UNUSED Starter Kit.
- (You’ll receive 100% refund for your unused starter
kit within 30 days of your Agreement being accepted by the
company)
CONSULTANT WANTS TO TERMINATE AFTER 30 DAYS
AND/OR AFTER 1 YEAR
…or if Agreement is terminated and Consultant’s
original and unused Starter Kit is returned to Company after
the cancellation period and within one (1) year of purchase,
to repurchase such Starter Kit at ninety percent (90%) of
Consultant’s original net cost.
The Company agrees to repurchase, upon the termination
of the Agreement, at ninety percent (90%) of Consultant’s
original net cost, original and unused (again, if you don’t
have the box, it’s ok) Section 1 products, provided
such items were purchased by Consultant from Company within
one (1) year prior to return.
- You will also get the tax for the retail
value of the amount you return refunded along with the 90%
of wholesale.
- Regardless of when the products were purchased,
as long as you return the wholesale amount indicated on
the form, the company accepts it. That has been our experience
when we returned product.
- Starter Kit and Section 1 products must be
shipped freight prepaid, accompanied by a Request for Repurchase
form to the Mary Kay Repurchase Department in Dallas. Returned
product must be RECEIVED by date indicated on letter to
Repurchase Dept.
- A copy of the form must be in EACH
BOX you return in case one gets lost.
DEDUCTIONS from Repurchase Check:
Company’s cost of any prizes or product
bonuses awarded to the Consultant because of the original
purchase and any indebtedness the Consultant owes the Company
will be deducted from the repurchase amount.
This means:
- The value of star prizes for the 12 month period involved
will be deducted, NOT any of the prizes you received from
your director.
- If you owe the company any money, that will be deducted.
SECTION 2 ITEMS
Section 2 items are not intended to be purchased
from the Company for resale and are not subject to the repurchase
obligations set forth in the Independent Beauty Consultant
Agreement. (Can’t return Section 2 items)
CHARGEBACK OF COMMISSIONS
Any commission previously paid on product returned
will be charged back based on the actual percentage paid at
the time of the purchase.
Your director and/or recruiter must repay the commission they
earned on your product. They can pay that back in installments
– DO NOT let that defer your decision, this is a business
remember.
If you earned commission on your product (as a director);
you’ll get a bill for it.
REJOINING MARY KAY AFTER RETURNING PRODUCT
A Consultant who returns merchandise to the
Company for repurchase is not eligible to rejoin Mary Kay
as a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant.
Well, people have rejoined so this is not entirely true, but
you’d better have a darn good reason for returning product.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR SHIPPING
Shipment of the products is the responsibility
of the Consultant. This includes, but is not limited to, bearing
all costs related to the shipment and complying with all federal,
state and local regulations.
